Our Story

In 2004, Ana Robinson discovered that hundreds of ingredients common in mainstream skincare are absorbed directly into the bloodstream — and are banned in most countries outside the US. Unable to find anything truly effective and non-toxic, she began hand-blending her own formula using cold-pressed sesame oil, an Ayurvedic staple with centuries of skin science behind it.

In 2016, a customer with tattooed skin changed everything. Her ink looked different — healthier, more vibrant. Ana became obsessed with understanding tattooed skin specifically. Kavai was born in 2017: not a tattoo trend product, but the most skin-intelligent oil for people with tattoos.

My favourite is Verde! The freshness and scent is so beautiful and I love it's moisturizing factors with the non greasy feels! It's perfect for sunburn too!- I don't peel!! It's also helped the dark areas in my underarms and other areas that tend to rub together :PGreat product!! Highly recommend!
